CIRCULAR COUNSELING DEPARTMENT N. 3/AY 19-20
The global coronavirus pandemic has been disruptive for millions of people. Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Students have been affected greatly as they struggle with the sudden closure of schools and the need to maintain social distance from their friends.
In order to support its students, Sagesse High School has decided to resume its school counseling services in a virtual setting using Zoom platform, Monday to Friday, from 10 am until 3 pm.
To schedule a session over Zoom, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to book a time slot for your child along with his/her email address. Once agreed on a time slot, the Zoom Personal ID will be e-mailed to the student’s email address by the counselor.
Please note that the email sent by you is considered as your consent to your child’s participation in the counseling session where confidentiality and all standards enumerated in the school counseling policy will be respected.
Finally, I would like to point out that the negative impact this situation has on our children should be minimized and facts should be explained to them. Discuss the news with them but try and avoid over-exposure to coverage of the virus. We need be alert to and ask children what they have heard about the outbreak and support them, without causing them alarm.
