The Champville CMCMUN conference, which took place on April 29 and April 30 2017, brought students between the seventh and the eleventh grades to their fourteenth challenge, placed them in various MUN committees, and gave them the chance to play the role of official United Nations delegates.
The conferences our beloved SHSMUNers are participating in are educating our students through simulation, side by side with their academic learning at school. This is a challenge indeed, yet it is one that drives our students to work hard and to capitalize on their diplomatic skills.
For the duration of a Model UN simulation, whether it be a committee conference or a crisis simulation, the student leaves his/her life behind and becomes the delegate representing a country in one of the UN's committees or organizations.
MUN simulations boost students' interests in world issues. The students prepare for simulations by running in-depth research on various issues and have to support the point of view of the country they represent no matter if they, personally, agree or disagree with what they are debating.
Good work SHSMUNers!
Great achievements as always!!!
Keep it up!
