THE AMERICAN PROGRAM CURRICULUM – CCSS

Sagesse High School (SHS), offers a customized American Program (AP), from grades 1 to 12, which has been accredited since 2009 by the Middle States Association Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), Pennsylvania (www.msa-cess.org).

In Lebanon, the American Program, offered by accredited schools, is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Equivalency Committee recognizes the High School Diploma. To this extent, holders of this diploma are eligible to join first year Freshman, or its equivalent in other system universities, when applying to American or other system universities.

Lebanese and foreign students must secure an exemption, from the Equivalency Committee, to be allowed to follow a foreign program.

American Program students are required to sit for SAT I, for university admission, and have to meet the requirements set by the Equivalency Committee to receive recognition for their Freshman year.

The courses per grade level offered in the American Program at SHS are listed below.

Students in the Lower and Upper Elementary Divisions take two World Languages (Arabic and French).
