From our Rector

From our Rector

Welcome to Sagesse High School (SHS) - Ain Saadeh.

I am so grateful to serve as the rector of this extraordinary community. As a Maronite priest and a proud graduate in Catholic School Leadership, I appreciate diversity, embrace inclusion,  and   truly value the importance of educating the whole child (holistic education). At  SHS, we are dedicated to educating a strong, patriotic, faith-centered community through a commitment to the spiritual,   moral, intellectual, social, and physical development of each child.

We serve children from diverse backgrounds, in grades KG1 through twelfth grade (Secondary 3 and/or IB II)

We provide three parallel curriculum programs, which are:

  1. the Lebanese Program (LP) based on the Lebanese National Standards,
  2. the American Program (AP) based on the Common Core standards and accredited by the Middle States Agency (MSA), and
  3. the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for students aged 16 to 19.

Our team of professional therapists and specialised educators give their best to serve our students with learning difficulties and/or special needs as well as to offer them test assistance, through our Special Education Department (SED).

We are the first and only Catholic school in Lebanon to have an athletic program that is accredited by the World Academy of Sports (WAoS) and which includes various sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, martial arts and gymnastics.

With the commitment and dedication of our amazing faculty, students are challenged and supported to reach their full potential at all levels.

There are so many opportunities for students at SHS to raise their voice and get prepared to live and contribute to a more democratic society. To name a few, we offer leadership opportunities such as Student Council, Student Organisation, Model United Nations (MUN), and Active Citizenship Program (ACP).

At SHS, we strongly believe that the school administration, the teachers, as well as the parents are partners who need to work together for students to be successful and achieve their dreams. Our partnership with parents is key to student education and growth.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child. Shall you have any questions or would like to share some ideas or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me and come see me. My door is always open…upon appointment of course.

Together, we are going to excel in Shaping Holistic Sages out of our cherished students!

Best in Christ,

Father Joe Daccache, Ed.D.
