Sagesse High School is accredited by the Middle States Association since 2009. In its October 2016 meeting the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS) voted to reaccredit Sagesse High school for a term of seven years expiring in December 2023.
In Middle States Association’s Official Notice of Accreditation to Sagesse High School, MSA defines an accredited institution:
“An “Accredited” institution is an educational organization that meets all MSA Standards for Accreditation, adheres to applicable MSA policies, and meets the requirements of the self-study protocol used. The institution agrees to adhere to all requirements for maintenance of accreditation.”
Reasons why Sagesse High School has chosen Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS) as an accrediting body:
The Middle States Association uses a holistic method to access the school and school systems. Instead of looking at test scores the MSA analyzes 12 key areas, these areas make up the MSA Standards for Accreditation:
• Mission • Governance and Leadership
• School Improvement Planning
• Finances
• Facilities
• School Organization and Staff
• Health and Safety
• Educational Program
• Assessment and Evidence of Student Learning
• Student Services
• Student Life and Activities
• Information Resources
